Adoption Process1. Meet and choose the animal(s) you would like to adopt.
2. Submit an application Applications are available for download here (Adoption Application), or you can request via phone (530)-927-9485 or email ([email protected]). Your application needs to include two references and landlord’s number (if a renter). 3. Sign Adoption Contract This Agreement clearly states the responsibilities of the adopter and protects the animals. You can download a copy of the Agreement here. (Adoption Agreement) 4. Pay Fee There is no adoption fee for S/N animals, but kittens require a $75 deposit each (State Law) --- refundable when S/N by a vet and proof shown to FRIENDS. Cash or check only please. Unfortunately we are not able to provide change. 5. Take Your Pet Home Happiness! Be sure to bring a clean cat carrier with you. We will not release an animal who is not confined for their safety. (FRIENDS does not charge an adoption fee for our spayed and neutered animals, but work entirely on your generous donations to help us continue our work for the animals.) |
