Services & Resources

Services Provided by FRIENDS:

FRIENDS is dedicated to serving the needs of our local animal and human community by offering the following services:
  • Spay/Neuter Vouchers
    • We offer vouchers ($25) to defray the cost of spaying or neutering your adopted pet.  Contact us at (530)-927-9485 or visit the site (1093 Lee Road, Quincy, CA) during open hours (Tuesday – Sunday 11 am – 3 pm).
  • Trap/Neuter/Release as possible
    • We loan out trapping cages so people can manage feral cats in their neighborhoods. We will also assist in trapping and neutering feral animals as time and resources permit. Contact us at (530)-927-9485 for more information.
  • Crisis Pet Food Program
    • While our first priority is caring for the animals in our shelter, we are committed to supporting Plumas County pets and community members in need. Our Crisis Food Program gives free food twice a year (when we have it) to anyone who need help feeding their pets.  Contact us at (530)-927-9485 to check on food availability.
  • Emergency Boarding (as we have space)
    • During challenging times such as the recent Dixie fire, Friends will board pets as long as we have space available.
